Terms of Service

Kairosdawn SMP is a private, invite-only Minecraft server run by a family for friends and their guests. By joining or playing on the server, you agree to the following:

Who Can Play

• This server is whitelist-only. You must be invited and approved by an admin to join.
• Players under 18 must have a parent or guardian who is aware they are playing on this server.
• By allowing your child to play, you acknowledge this is a PVP survival server where players can fight each other, raid bases, and destroy builds. This is part of the intended gameplay.
• We reserve the right to remove any player at any time for any reason.

Server Rules

• No hacking, cheating, or exploiting. Modified clients, x-ray, fly hacks, or any unfair advantage = instant ban.
• No real-life threats, harassment, or bullying. In-game PVP and raiding is fine. Personal attacks, slurs, or threats are not.
• No inappropriate content. Keep builds, signs, chat, and skins appropriate. This is a family-adjacent server.
• PVP, raiding, and griefing are allowed. This is an anarchy-style survival server. Build defenses, hide your base, fight back. That's the game.
• Don't crash the server intentionally. Excessive TNT, entity spam, or lag machines = ban.

What We Collect

• Gamertag / username — visible to all players, used for whitelist.
• In-game activity logs — block placements, breaks, chest access, and chat are logged for grief protection and moderation. This data stays on our server and is never shared.
• No personal information is collected. We don't ask for real names, emails, phone numbers, or addresses from players.
• IP addresses are not visible to admins (hidden by our proxy). Minecraft connection logs may temporarily contain IPs but we don't access or store them.

Voice Chat & Discord

• The server may offer proximity voice chat and a Discord community server.
• Voice chat and Discord are optional. No player is required to use them.
• Discord's own Terms of Service and age requirements (13+) apply separately.
• The same rules about harassment and inappropriate content apply in voice and Discord.

Server Availability

• This server is hosted on personal hardware at a private residence. It is not a commercial service.
• We do not guarantee uptime, performance, or data preservation, though we make reasonable efforts (automated backups, monitoring).
• The server may go offline for maintenance, power outages, or hardware issues without notice.
• We are not responsible for lost progress, items, or builds due to server issues, crashes, bugs, or Minecraft updates.

Admin Rights

• Admins can kick, ban, mute, or remove any player at their discretion.
• Admins can roll back griefing or restore builds using server tools.
• Admin decisions are final. This is a private server, not a public service.

Liability

This server is provided as-is with no warranties. The server owner is not liable for any damages, disputes, or issues arising from gameplay, player interactions, or server availability. By joining, you accept all risks associated with online multiplayer gaming.

Parents/guardians of minor players accept responsibility for their child's online interactions on this server.

Changes

These terms may be updated at any time. Continued play after changes constitutes acceptance. Major changes will be announced in Discord if available.
